Full Job Description
Position Summary:
The Penske Maintenance Coordinator position focuses on managing inventory and administrative processes of the branch(es) to support maintenance operational efficiency, effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Major Responsibilities:
- Inventory Productivity:
- Oversee inventory productivity at the branch(es) for timely service support while mitigating inventory loss risks.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels through ordering parts according to sourcing procedures, ensuring timely and defect-free deliveries by partnering with Centralized Parts Ordering.
- Receive, store, and organize parts for easy access; update PartsNet promptly; conduct regular inventory cycle counts; ensure parts availability.
- Manage new & used battery inventory and ensure tires are stocked in correct quantities and specifications.
- Ensure warranty items are shipped and received on time; follow up on returns and warranty claims with the warranty department.
- Collaborate with Customer Service Coordinator to schedule repairs as parts become available.
- Support vendor relationships, ensure accountability, and process payments correctly.
Process Analytics:- Perform analyses on areas such as Inventory, maintenance profitability, warranty campaigns, cycle counts, and RO reviews; investigate issues and recommend solutions.
- Utilize systems like ServiceNet or AS400 for operational analysis and process improvement.
Other Responsibilities:- Support the branch financial manager with guidance and information to enhance performance and profitability.
- Assist with projects and tasks assigned by the Branch and District Financial Managers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; ability to collaborate effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service and operations; experience in service and parts department preferred.
- Quick learner, collaborative, and committed to continuous education.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Reliable attendance is essential.
- Willingness to travel, work the scheduled hours, complete employment applications, and undergo background and drug screenings.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to read, communicate, analyze information, and follow instructions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, and lift/move up to 25 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
