Johnson Electric in Mississauga, ON is seeking an Electrical Co-op to join our on-site team. You will assist in setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining machinery while following safety and quality policies.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in post-secondary technical program.
  • Some experience with mechanical assembly, machine repair, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, PLC/CNC control.
  • Welding and basic machining skills are an asset.
  • Automotive industry experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
  • Install, replace and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits and other components.
  • Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop.
  • Keep inventory of parts necessary to perform.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety System.

Join Our Team as an Electrical Co-op at Johnson Electric!

Location: Mississauga, ON (On-site) Pay Range: $22-$24 per hour Vacancy Type: Co-op Position Schedule: Full-time, Day/Afternoon/Night Shifts Relocation: Not Applicable Travel: Minimal

As our next Electrical Co-op, you will be responsible for setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment while following safety rules and regulations. Work must be done in a safe and efficient manner and comply with all Stackpole International’s Health & Safety policies, procedures and quality systems. Working knowledge with SPS, 5S and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities are required.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.

What We're Looking For:
  • Enrolled in Post-Secondary education in a technical field.
  • Knowledge and some previous experience with respect to Mechanical Assembly, Machine Repair, Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic Systems, PLC and CNC based control and logic systems.
  • Welding and basic machining skills are a definite asset.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is an asset, however not required.
