Job summary

GLS Canada in Vaughan is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Clerk to keep our facilities, equipment, and operations running smoothly. From general building maintenance to conveyor inspections and repairs, you’ll handle a variety of tasks with direct impact on daily operations.

The role is full-time and permanent, with Monday–Friday hours (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), offering a competitive hourly salary of $23.00–$25.00, dependent on experience, plus benefits including medical and dental insurance,

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Good physical condition.
• Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
• Resourceful and autonomous, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Comfortable working independently or as part of a small team.
• Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment where priorities can change.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the general condition of the building, both inside and outside;
• Inspect truck wheel chocks and conveyor equipment;
• Inspect loading dock bumpers and clean them as required;
• Ensure garage doors are operating properly;
• Handle, transport, adjust, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials as required;
• Replace light bulbs throughout the facilities;
• Inspect conveyors and perform repairs when required;
• Perform basic painting and general building maintenance;
• Repair and maintain ropaks and logistics bars;
• Perform various maintenance and repair tasks based on operational needs.
