Job summary

Impact Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Associate for a developer client in Brandon, Manitoba. On-site at a shopping centre, you will perform daily routine maintenance to keep the property and grounds in excellent condition.

The role covers inspections, minor repairs, exterior upkeep, and tenant services. Weekend shifts are required, and prior shopping centre experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Experience performing routine or minor maintenance tasks.
• Willingness to work weekend shifts.
• Experience in a shopping centre environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Building Inspections: assist with routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Building Maintenance: minor repairs and installations (plumbing, lighting, tiles, carpentry, etc.).
• Exterior Maintenance: grounds keeping, landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot upkeep.
• Tenant Services: maintain vacant spaces and respond to maintenance requests.

Job description

Our well-known and respected developer client are looking to add a Maintenance Associate to their every growing team in Brandon, Manitoba. You will be based on-site a shopping centre and will be responsible for daily routineminor maintenance activities to ensure that the property and its grounds are kept in exceptional condition.

Compensation

• $40,000 - $45,000 per annum

Responsibilities

• Building Inspections- Assistingwith routine inspections and preventative maintenance, routinely performingroof maintenance, drain and leak inspections to ensure uninterrupted operation of non-vital building systems.
• Building Maintenance -Performingminor repairs and installations includingplumbing, light fixture replacement, touch up painting, asphalt patching, installation and repair of ceramic tiles, replacement of ceiling tiles and carpeting, interior and exterior plastering, dry-walling, minor carpentry and common area door repairs.
• Exterior Maintenance -Performing various ground-keeping activities such as exterior and parking lot upkeep, grounds cleaning and landscaping,flower planters assembly and repairs,lawn mowing, garbage pickup andsnow removal.
• Tenant Services -Performingmaintenance and general cleaning of vacant space and respondingto Tenant requests for general maintenance services of their premises or common areas to support leasing activity of the vacant space and assisting with keeping tenants’ spaces clean and in good repair.

Qualifications

• Minor maintenance experience
• Must be happy to work weekend shifts
• Previous experience in a shopping center environment is an asset
