Responsibilities

• Support general site, facility and outdoor maintenance throughout Whistler Olympic Park.
• Manually clear snow from buildings, walkways, stairs and other areas around the venue.
• Assist with snowmaking and ski jump preparation as required.
• Support lift operations and help ensure the safe movement of athletes, coaches, staff and visitors.
• Assist other operational teams, including Patrol and Grooming, when required.
• Perform custodial and general upkeep duties as needed.
• Safely operate equipment and follow established operational and safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to help keep the Park operating safe and efficiently.

The Whistler Olympic Park (WOP) is a world-class Nordic sport and recreation venue located in the beautiful Callaghan Valley. Originally built for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Park is home to cross-country skiing, ski jumping, biathlon and a variety of winter recreational activities. We are currently hiring a Maintenance and Operations Worker to help keep Whistler Olympic Park safe, functional and ready for athletes, guests and staff throughout the winter season. This hands‑on role supports everything from snow clearing and facility maintenance to ski jump preparation and other day‑to‑day outdoor operations. What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Experience working in snowy or winter environments.
• A valid BC Class 5 driver’s license and driver’s abstract.
• A safety-conscious approach and willingness to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
• A positive, can‑do attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience operating snowmobiles is an advantage; skid steer experience is an asset.
• Handy‑person skills, rope experience or certification, and knowledge of radio protocols are considered assets.
• Reliable winter transportation, as Whistler Olympic Park is not serviced by public transit.
• Ability to work outdoors in variable winter conditions and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
