The Maintenance Aide plays a vital role in our communities, impacting residents' lives and fostering human connection.

As a Maintenance Aide, your typical day will include:

• Ensuring compliance with legislated standards related to fire safety, maintenance, and repair of the site.
• Maintaining an effective reporting system and internal controls within the maintenance department.
• Performing routine and preventative maintenance, repairing equipment, and maintaining building mechanical and electrical systems.
• Documenting tasks properly and communicating concerns and high-risk issues to the manager.
• Inspecting internal lighting, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Must Haves:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance services fundamentals.
• Experience with equipment used in Long Term Care Communities/Retirement Residences.
• Building trades and operations experience.
• Successful passing of Vulnerable Sector Check (Ontario) and Criminal Records Check (British Columbia).
