Job summary

Cadillac Fairview is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform upkeep of the interior and exterior of our properties, ensuring a safe, healthy environment and preserving our corporate image. The role requires the ability to perform repairs, audits, and respond to tenant needs with a focus on service.

Minimum two years of general maintenance experience in commercial settings and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in general maintenance in a commercial, retail or industrial environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical/Carpentry skills are assets.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to the property, internally and externally to maintain safety and corporate image.
• Secure property against loss by following health, safety and security procedures and reporting concerns.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to keep it in good working order.
• Respond to tenants’ concerns and assist in problem solving to maintain high service levels.
• Maintain HVAC controls and perform adjustments and repairs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Description

Role Impact:
To perform the maintenance and upkeep of the exterior and interior of the property to ensure tenants and customers are provided with a safe and healthy environment and the corporate image is maintained.

What you will deliver:

• Perform maintenance and repairs to the property, internally and externally in order to maintain corporate image and provide tenants and customers with a safe and healthy environment
• Secure CF property against loss due to theft, fire, liability claims and prosecutions resulting from operations by ensuring all health, safety and security procedures are adhered to and areas of concern are reported to the appropriate parties in a timely manner in order to limit exposure to liability and loss
• Conduct inspections on equipment on a daily/weekly basis to ensure equipment is maintained in good working order and to avoid major repairs due to negligence
• Respond to tenants concerns and assists in solving problems as required to ensure a high level of customer service to tenants and customers
• Maintain HVAC controls and make adjustments and repairs as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

• High school education or equivalent
• Minimum two years’ experience in general maintenance in a commercial, retail or industrial environment
• Plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC and carpentry skills an asset
• A valid driver's license

Starting base pay for this job level may range from $20.16 to $26.88. The actual base pay offered will consider several factors including, but not limited to the role, experiences, skills & qualifications, location, market and internal considerations; with this context, CF reserves the right to pay above this range.
