Reports To: General Manager
Requirements:
- Carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Pulling and pushing up to 150 pounds
- Frequent standing and moving
- Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Willing to work on weekends and/or holidays
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall work, carpentry, outside maintenance, snow blowing, and shoveling

General Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees hotel maintenance, energy usage, safety, and security programs. Responsibilities include maintaining public areas, guest rooms, support areas, machinery, equipment, and grounds under the direction of the chief engineer.
Primary Functions:
- Supervise hotel maintenance to prevent additional expenses or loss of business from deferred maintenance
- Review and understand management reports
- Implement and follow company purchasing procedures
- Protect financial assets of the company
- Ensure safety in the use of tools, chemicals, supplies, and related materials
- Use hotel supplies efficiently
- Report and correct maintenance deficiencies impacting guest comfort or operations
- Report and address safety, security, and health risks
- Coordinate guestroom access and maintenance with housekeeping and front office
- Maintain knowledge of hotel features, amenities, and services
- Adhere to company policies and participate in ongoing education
- Implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment and guestrooms
- Represent the hotel professionally to guests, clients, and the community
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety laws and promote adherence among employees
Specific Responsibilities:
- Complete daily work checklists and special projects
- Conduct daily inspections of hotel facilities to identify and fix maintenance issues
- Report and investigate asset losses
- Handle guest situations professionally
- Respond to work orders from the front desk and management
- Deliver items to guestrooms as needed
- Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
- Complete special projects (painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
- Maintain records of maintenance activities
- Secure guestrooms, storerooms, and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Performance Standards:
Annual evaluations are based on contributions to hotel metrics and goals.
