Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. is seeking a Mainframe Tester to join our team in Canada.

The role focuses on planning, designing, and executing QA activities for mainframe applications to ensure quality and reliability across the project lifecycle. Ideal candidates will have strong mainframe testing experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM, plus defect management, testing diverse environments, and good teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have strong experience in Mainframe Testing.
• Knowledge of mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and VSAM.
• Experience in test planning, design, execution, and defect management.
• Ability to analyze business and system requirements.
• Experience with functional, integration, system and regression testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Mainframe Tester

Job Summary

The Mainframe Tester is responsible for planning, managing, and executing quality assurance activities for mainframe applications. This role involves analyzing business and system requirements, designing and executing test cases, managing defects, and ensuring the quality and reliability of mainframe-based solutions. The position works closely with development, business, and support teams to identify issues and drive resolutions.

Must-Have Skills

Salary Range

CA$ 90,000 - CA$ 110,000 Per Year
