Job summary

Dumas Contracting Inc. is seeking a MacLean Bolter Operator for the Timmins underground West Cache Gold Project.

You will operate MacLean bolting equipment to install ground support in development headings, following the mine plan, and ensuring safety and efficiency in a 12-hour shift, 14/14 rotation. Two years of bolter experience, Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification, and strong drilling/blasting knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience operating a MacLean Bolter in underground mining.
• Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification required.
• Knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.
• Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments.
• Excellent safety record and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate MacLean Bolter to install primary and secondary ground support in development headings according to mine plan.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.
• Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership.

Wage: $68.80 - $83.50/hr

About the Role

As a MacLean Bolter Operator with Dumas, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of MacLean bolting equipment to install ground support in underground development headings. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and safety of the mine.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate MacLean Bolter to install primary and secondary ground support (rock bolts, mesh, screen) in development headings according to the mine plan.
• Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment, reporting all issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.
• Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience operating a MacLean Bolter in an underground mining environment.
• Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification.
• Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.
• Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments.
• Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
