SIEL Human Solutions on behalf of our client Saskpro Industries Ltd. is hiring a Full-Time Machinist or Experienced Machinist Apprentice.

Reporting to the GM and Team Lead, if you're a seasoned Machinist with 3-5 years of experience, OR an experienced Apprentice with a mechanical or industrial background who approaches work with a positive attitude, takes pride in their work and seeks to build a meaningful career, this role is for you!

What You'll Do:
  • Execute complex, custom manual machining projects requiring precision and attention to detail.
  • Responsible for on-site machining on behalf of Saskpro at customer locations.
  • Perform some CNC machining.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to determine practical solutions to required results.
  • Participate in project discussions, contributing ideas on equipment and processes.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Support team member training and development.
  • Growth into a recognized specialist with increasing responsibility and customer involvement.
  • Work safely and uphold Saskpro's quality standards and team culture.
  • Varied hours when required for on-site projects.
What You Bring:
  • A Journeyperson Machinist, experienced Machinist Apprentice, or Tradesperson Machinist with 3-5 years of experience preferred, but not required.
  • Other industry-experienced candidates with machining or machining-related practice may be considered.
  • Prioritize mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills to understand both the "how" and the "why".
  • Technical knowledge.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to represent Saskpro in a professional manner onsite and offsite at customers' locations.
  • Accountable for high-quality work in a safe, respectful environment.
  • Willing to learn and share ideas, with a genuine long-term interest in growing with the company.
  • Open to long-term career development and company-paid training to become a certified Journeyperson/Red Seal.
  • Willing and able to travel for on-site projects.
  • Available to work a variety of hours when required.
