Job summary

Magellan Aerospace has a full-time permanent Machinist opportunity at our Winnipeg, MB plant. You will set up and operate CNC and conventional milling, turning, EDM, and laser equipment to tight specifications.

This role emphasizes accuracy, safe work practices, and the ability to read blueprints and GD&T drawings. Red Seal Machinist or CCAA accreditation is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting GD&T and blueprints.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional milling, turning, EDM, and laser equipment per instructions.
• Carry out TPM checklist maintenance tasks.
• Interpret GD&T and apply it in manufacturing.
• Follow safety requirements and PPE guidelines.

Job Summary

Magellan Aerospace has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time permanent Machinist at our manufacturing plant in Winnipeg, MB.

Essential Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates in accordance with all applicable work instructions for all levels of work, any of the following machines: C.N.C. and conventional milling, turning, E.D.M., and Laser.
• Performs tasks on the equipment as defined on the total preventative maintenance (TPM) check list. Position Requirements
• Ability to interpret and apply GD&T requirements and perform basic mathematics including calculations.
• Ability to correctly interpret blue prints.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work within specified safety requirements (ie. PPE).
• Red Seal Machinist or Canadian Council for Aviation Aerospace (CCAA) accreditation is preferred but not required.
