Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. in Gatineau, QC seeks a skilled machinist/inspector to perform precision measurements and setup in our on-site workshop.

You will read engineering drawings, set up production machinery, measure with micrometers and calipers, and record deviations with inspection reports to ensure conformance and traceability.

Required 2–3 years of related experience and a trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years to less than 3 years of machining or inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
• Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
• Set up and adjust production machineries/tools
• Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
• Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
• Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
• Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
• Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
• Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools
• Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
