Job summary

Energy Job Shop in Fort McMurray, AB is seeking experienced Machinists to operate manual machine tools and read engineering drawings for industrial projects on a 7/7 camp schedule. Charter flights and camp accommodations are provided in this role.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Red Seal or Journeyman certificate, possess H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Confined Space, WHMIS 2015 certifications, and may hold CSO/BSO/CSTS-09. Experience with lathes, mills, borers and drills is preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive manual machining experience.
• Proficiency with Manual Lathes, Milling Machines, Boring Mills, Radial Arm Drills, and drill press.
• Familiarity with pumps, motors, and valves.
• Valid Red Seal or Journeyman Certificate (recognized in Alberta).
• H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Confined Space, WHMIS 2015 certifications.
• One of: CSO, BSO, or CSTS-09 safety ticket.
• Ability to lift and carry objects independently or as a team.
• Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of manual machine tools to fabricate products for industrial projects.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings to ensure correct fabrication.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards on site.
• Collaborate effectively with team members in a camp environment on a 7/7 shift cycle.
• Meet site access requirements and coordinate with site staff.
