Job summary

Victaulic in Brampton, ON is seeking a Material Handler (Machine Shop) to support daily material flow, stock production areas, and maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The successful candidate will operate lift trucks (training provided for certain models), use WMS and RF scanners, and participate in cycle counts to ensure data integrity and Lean manufacturing compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse or material handling experience.
• Valid forklift certification and lift truck experience in manufacturing or warehouse.
• Experience with inventory management and control processes.
• Familiarity with WMS, RF scanners, and computerized systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company equipment and report any issues immediately.
• Transfer materials efficiently throughout the Machine Shop while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Stock assembly stations and support material flow using Kanban and inventory control processes.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely delivery of materials and parts.
• Utilize warehouse management systems, RF scanners, and inventory tracking tools to complete transactions and transfers.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Operate lift trucks, including counterbalance, stand-up, and Bendi equipment (training provided for Bendi if required).
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and adhere to Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
