Job summary

The position includes viewing and documenting work, investigating minor problems, and using basic lifting equipment. On-the-job training and youth mentorship are offered; work is 40 hours weekly, with both day and evening shifts in a temporary term.

• Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications.
• Document work completed.
• Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair.
• Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines.
• Operate machines or equipment which weld, solder, bolt, screw or rivet metal parts together.
• Select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist.
