Job summary

Armtec Inc. in Saint-Clet, QC is seeking a Machine Operator - HDPE to set up, calibrate and run extrusion equipment, ensuring HDPE products meet specifications.

You will perform quality checks, monitor production, and maintain equipment per service guidelines while adhering to safety policies. This role requires strong mechanical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work across day, afternoon, or night shifts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Grade 12 or equivalent with good reading, writing, and math skills.
  • 4+ years of production and manufacturing experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of HDPE manufacturing operations (Preferred).
  • A combination of training and experience will be considered.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong mechanical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative and self-confidence to provide leadership and self-motivation.
  • Effective coaching of production team members to reduce equipment failures and improve overall productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Operates machine producing quality product meeting Company Specifications.
  • Verify that daily production reports are completed accurately and completely.
  • Ensure that equipment operates efficiently and that product meets required quality standards.
  • Comply with company health and safety policies, procedures, practices and legislative standards.
  • Keep the maintenance log up to date and report any equipment problems to the production manager or plant manager.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and inspection of equipment as directed.
  • Advise and report on improvements and modifications to equipment and machinery to correct inconsistencies and errors.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and requested.

Reporting to the shift supervisor, the operator is responsible for the configuration, calibration and operation of the machine. The machine operator performs quality control inspections on the production in accordance with the company's specifications. He performs daily inspections and maintenance of the machine in accordance with the company's service guidelines.

DAY SHIFT 7AM T0 3PM, AFTERNOON SHIFT 3PM TO 11PM, NIGHT SHIFT 11PM - 7AM
Responsibilities
