Location & Shifts:

• Manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park, and Nisku.
• Various shifts available:
  • Rotating Day Shift (continental)
  • Monday to Thursday Nightshift
  • Weekend Nightshift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Overview:

The primary role of the Machine Operator is to facilitate the assembly and fabrication of products, using sheet metal manipulation machinery.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Fabricate piece parts according to schematics under supervision.
2. Assemble parts into final products.
3. Read blueprints and program machining equipment.
4. Operate metalworking machinery (brake, shear, saw, punch).
5. Maintain and inspect equipment, report malfunctions.
6. Assist with project responsibilities safely.
7. Request training for new projects or equipment.
8. Keep the department clean and organized.
9. Report unsafe conditions.
10. May operate forklift or overhead crane if trained.
11. Follow safety standards and regulations.
12. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education/training preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and processes.

Working Conditions:

• Industrial environment with hazards.
• Manual dexterity required.
• Adherence to safety policies, use of protective equipment.
• Long periods of standing, overtime as needed.
