Job summary

CRH Canada is seeking a Machine Operator to join our production team. The role focuses on operating equipment, ensuring high-quality packaged product, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. You will follow supervisor directions, manage packaging materials, perform quality checks, and document results.

Prior production line experience is an asset; lifting up to 20 lbs is required. You will report issues promptly and participate in safety practices.

  • Lifting materials up to 20 lbs consistently throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Listen and follow directions from the floor supervisors and plant manager.
  • Learn and familiarize packaging locations and use accurate packaging.
  • Do not change or move around any part of the assigned workstation, as they are set-up, regardless of whether it is at a machine or in an assembly area.
  • Read carefully and understand applicable quality control documents at assigned workstations for the product you are responsible for.
  • Sign in and check off on applicable quality control documents after performing necessary quality check tasks.
  • While handling product during various stages—packaging, sorting, clipping, weighing, etc.—reject any piece that is not of set quality standards.
  • Ensure all product packaged at every stage is of utmost quality, with the final stage being of the utmost importance.
  • Promptly report to floor supervisor when the machine you are assigned to is down.
  • Frequently do grinder checks to ensure proper granulating function.
  • During grinder checks, always ensure you grind in the appropriate designated grinder and if a mistake occurs, shut the grinder off and report the incident immediately to your supervisor.

Job Summary

The Machine Operator participates with a positive attitude while working with fellow team members to ensure plant orderliness, cleanliness and safety. The Machine Operator ensures all product packaged is of the utmost quality to maintain customer satisfaction.
