TG Minto Corporation, a division of Toyoda Gosei, is seeking a Machine Group Specialist (Mechanical) to support our Palmerston manufacturing operations. The role focuses on integrating and optimizing robotic systems, fabrication of automated equipment, and EOAT development to improve reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a similar mechanical/automation role.
• Proven ability to fabricate, assemble and install automated equipment.
• Experience with robotic systems and injection molding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, assembly and installation of automated equipment.
• Installation of injection molding equipment and robotic assembly equipment.
• Design and manufacture End of Arm Tools (EOAT).
• Fanuc robot programming for part take-out applications.
• Inventory control of shop materials.
• Communicate changes with the machine group and support teams.
• Troubleshoot low voltage electrical control circuits.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is an asset.

General Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Machine Group Specialist (Mechanical) to support our manufacturing and automation operations. This position plays a key role in the integration and optimization of robotic systems, with a focus on fabrication of automated equipment, Injection molding equipment and robotic End of Arm Tooling (EOAT).

The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical fabrication background with hands‑on experience in robotic programming, troubleshooting equipment, machinery modification, and injection molding systems. As a core member of the machine group, you will work closely with the design and programming teams to ensure the reliability and efficiency of automated equipment while driving continuous improvement across all manufacturing processes.

Compensation And Benefits

• Wage range - $28.12 ~ $43.26 per hour
• Paid overtime after 40/hours per week

Abilities, Duties And Responsibilities

• Fabrication, assembly and installation of automated equipment
• Installation of Injection molding equipment and robotic assembly equipment
• Design and manufacturing End of Arm Tools (EOAT)
• Fanuc robot programming for part take-out applications
• Inventory control of shop materials
• Communicate with the machine group on all critical mechanical/electrical changes and updates.
• Provide technical advice and assistance to field personnel, contractors, etc.
• Troubleshoot low voltage electrical control circuits.
• Knowledge of AutoCad and Solidworks design software would be an asset.
• Knowledge of applicable mechanical procedures, standards and regulations.
• Some computer knowledge is required.
• Troubleshooting and modification of existing equipment
• Confident understanding of the Injection molding equipment, material handling chilled water, process water, hot runners and automated assembly equipment.

Education & Qualifications

• Have relevant qualification, Millwright, MTBI trade certificate. Robotics and Automation Diploma, Robotics Technician/Automation Technician Certificate).
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 5 years of experience in a similar role required. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Supervisory Responsibility

• Report any unsafe activities within the company to the machine group supervisor.
• Responsible for scheduling and oversight of third party contractors during installation projects.
