Job description

Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. Permacon is a division of Oldcastle APG and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.

We are currently looking for Machine/Forklift Operators at our newly equipped Milton Plant.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be safety oriented;
• Load, unload, sort, check, move, wrap, package, store and/or pile different products, material, raw material (pallets, skids, plates, blocks, paves);
• Complete quality and production duties following the quality manual;
• Set-up product changes;
• Optimize cycle time of machines;
• Perform preventive maintenance of equipment;
• Perform all other related tasks requested by his superior.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma;
• Experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Teamwork oriented, initiative; responsible, able to react, to be precise; methodical;
• Organized, must be able to work with established procedures, guidelines, people, and under immediate supervision;
• Use of Microsoft Word & Excel an asset;
• Must be able to learn quickly and have the capacity to safely physically handle weight up to 20kg;
• Must be able to react efficiently and operate equipment safely and efficiently;
• Must have an excellent attendance record.
