Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. Permacon is a division of Oldcastle APG and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.

We are currently looking for Machine/Forklift Operators at our newly equipped Milton Plant.

Salary: 23.80$/h – 26.80$/h

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Be safety oriented;
2. Load, unload, sort, check, move, wrap, package, store and/or pile different products, material, raw material (pallets, skids, plates, blocks, paves);
3. Operate various automated production equipment;
4. Complete quality and production duties following the quality manual;
5. Set-up product changes;
6. Optimize cycle time of machines;
7. Perform preventive maintenance of equipment;
8. Perform all other related tasks requested by his superior.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High school diploma
2. Forklift Licence
3. Experience in a manufacturing environment
4. Teamwork oriented, initiative; responsible, able to react, to be precise; methodical
5. Organized, must be able to work with established procedures, guidelines, people and under immediate supervision
6. Use of Microsoft Word & Excel an asset
7. Must be able to learn quickly and have capacity to safely physically handle weight up to 20kg
8. Must be able to react efficiently and to operate equipment safely and efficiently
9. Must have an excellent attendance record
