Job summary

EBARA HG ULC is seeking an experienced Machine Builder in Ontario to assemble complex mechanical and electrical components with precision. You will interpret engineering drawings, perform fit-up, and use inspection gauges to ensure products meet strict quality standards.

Qualifications

  • OSSD or GED required to perform factory duties.
  • Trade certificate or technical diploma preferred for advanced assembly work.
  • CWB welding certification is an asset, not mandatory.
  • TSSA certification for carbon/stainless materials is an asset.
  • Forklift and overhead crane certifications are preferred to operate safely.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex mechanical and electrical components with precision.
  • Install and adjust impellers, shafts, gearboxes and bushings.
  • Perform fit-up, welding, grinding, deburring and polishing operations.
  • Interpret drawings, work orders and technical documentation.
  • Use inspection gauges and maintain accurate records.
  • Report deviations and ensure safety and quality compliance.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and support cross-department collaboration.
  • Operate hand/power tools, overhead cranes and pallet jacks.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machine Builder with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on production experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. This role involves assembling complex mechanical and electrical components, performing fit-up and fine adjustments, and ensuring products meet strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform complex mechanical and electrical assemblies with precision

Install and adjust impellers, shafts, gearboxes, and bushings

Complete fit-up, welding, grinding, deburring, and polishing operations

Interpret assembly drawings, work orders, and technical documentation

Use inspection gauges and maintain accurate inspection records

Identify and report deviations from specifications and tolerances

Complete standardized documentation and inspection reports

Operate hand and power tools, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks

Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly

Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas

Collaborate with multiple departments to support efficient operations

Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education & Certifications

OSSD High School Diploma or GED (required)

Technical school diploma, trade certificate, or equivalent (preferred)

CWB welding certification (asset)

TSSA certification for carbon and stainless (asset)

Forklift and overhead crane certification (preferred)

Experience & Skills

Minimum 3 years' experience with rotary equipment and complex assemblies

Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Knowledge of manual and electrical tools

Understanding of metrology and inspection processes

Familiarity with Duplex, Ni-hard, and Alloy 20 materials (asset)

Advanced math skills, including geometry and trigonometry

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Self-starter with strong initiative and follow-through

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, reaching, and stooping

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Daily verbal and written communication in English
