Job summary

Niagara Casinos is seeking a conscientious Room Attendant/Houseperson for a fixed term at our luxury hotel in Canada. The role focuses on meticulous cleaning, safe operations and guest hospitality.

The ideal candidate maintains high standards, handles guest requests professionally, and is able to lift up to 20 pounds and push/pull up to 30 pounds. The position requires flexibility to support a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Sense of urgency, accountability and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining 14 smoking or non-smoking credits per day.
• Removing sheets from beds, making beds, emptying garbage containers, dusting and vacuuming floors.
• Cleaning bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, jacuzzis and mirrors.
• Replenishing amenities.
• Inspecting and reporting equipment damage or malfunction.
• Responding to guest calls and cleaning common areas when needed.
• Handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
• Lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing and pulling up to 30 pounds repetitively throughout your shift.
• The ability to dual into different roles within the Housekeeping department.
• Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation.
• Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties.
• Working independently and as one team that supports and helps one another.
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation
