Qualifications

• Education: Less than high school graduation plus additional training or education.
• Experience: A minimum of one month of experience is required.
• Skills: Good communication, positive demeanor, ability to respect confidentiality, monitor multiple activities, experience working with children, attend to physical needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students indoors and outdoors and communicate concerns to the School Principal.
• Monitor student behavior and promote respectful, kind, inclusive interactions.
• Report incidents of misconduct to the Principal or designate.
• Encourage appropriate play indoors and outdoors and monitor areas out of bounds.
• Assist with emergency situations such as fire drills.
• Keep the teacher/principal informed of atypical situations.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
