lululemon is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer, Data Security to join the Data & AI Security team in Vancouver, Canada. You will design and implement security controls, support DSPM and DLP, and mentor junior engineers while delivering scalable security solutions across platforms.

The role emphasizes secure coding, authentication and identity management, penetration testing, and collaboration with engineering and privacy teams to reduce risk and enable safe AI usage at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; security certification preferred
• 4-8 years of experience designing and implementing security solutions, building security platforms and automations, or embedding security into systems, or equivalent
• Proven experience implementing comprehensive security controls across systems including multi-layered defence mechanisms; demonstrated ability to build advanced authentication systems including multi-factor authentication and identity management solutions
• Experience writing security-critical code including security libraries and middleware; track record of leading security code reviews, establishing secure coding standards, and identifying architectural security issues
• Proven ability to conduct comprehensive penetration testing and security code analysis; experience building comprehensive security tools including scanners, testing frameworks, and validation systems
• Hands-on DSPM and DLP experience; identifying sensitive data; tuning rules; remediation workflows; cloud data protection knowledge

The Data & AI Security team is responsible for protecting lululemon's data and enabling the secure and responsible use of AI across the enterprise. We partner closely with Engineering, Data Governance + Analytics, Privacy, Legal, and business teams to reduce data risk, strengthen security posture, and support innovation at scale. Our focus spans data discovery and classification, data protection, and reviewing emerging AI technologies and necessary protection that help the business move faster with confidence.

The Cybersecurity Engineer, Data Security, focuses on the operational execution of DSPM and DLP capabilities, including platform tuning and validation, completing analysis to generate insights, driving remediation efforts, supporting reporting efforts, and working with the business to understand standard business practice. This role is critical to ensuring data security signals are accurate, actionable, and scalable across the enterprise.

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will own security engineering for specific systems and platforms, designing and implementing security controls that balance protection, performance, and usability. You will build, test, and maintain security solutions including automation, libraries, and tooling, apply secure coding practices, and support security testing and validation. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to integrate security into system design and delivery, drive improvements to security control effectiveness, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to high-quality, scalable security implementations.

Working knowledge of securing data in modern cloud and analytics environments, across unstructured and structured data stores.

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from $1 12,200 - $147,200 annually ; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
