Job summary

Lakeside Manor in Salmon Arm is seeking a Full-Time Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests with a welcoming, attentive service style.

Work evenings and weekends in a compassionate senior-living setting; responsibilities include dining room setup, meal service, and collaborating with the Hospitality team to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Serving It Right Certification required.
• Food Safe Certification required.
• WHMIS Certification required.
• First Aid Certificate required.
• Previous dining/hospitality experience in senior living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, serve, and maintain dining rooms and service areas.
• Take meal and beverage orders per policy and Serving it Right.
• Handle food following Food Safe procedures and regulatory standards.
• Respond to tenant requests, questions, and concerns promptly.
• Take ownership of issues and follow up for satisfaction.
• Wash dishes and assist with light kitchen prep as needed.
• Report maintenance needs to the Hospitality Manager.
• Follow WHMIS, infection control, and Health & Safety policies.
• Support Risk Management programs and perform other duties.

About the Role

As a Server, you'll help create exceptional dining experiences for our residents and their guests through friendly, attentive service and a welcoming attitude. Working alongside our Hospitality team, you'll assist with meal service, dining room operations, and resident interactions, playing an important role in creating a positive dining experience and enhancing our residents' quality of life.

Schedule

Full-Time. Evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Compensation

$20.68

Role Responsibilities

• Set up, serve, and maintain dining rooms and designated service areas
• Take meal and beverage orders following established policies and Serving it Right guidelines
• Handle food in accordance with Food Safe sanitary procedures and regulatory standards
• Respond attentively and efficiently to tenant requests, questions, concerns, and complaints
• Take ownership of tenant issues and follow up to ensure satisfaction
• Wash plates, utensils, and glassware; assist with light kitchen food prep (soups, salads, entrees, desserts)
• Report any maintenance needs to the Hospitality Manager
• Follow WHMIS protocols, infection control guidelines, and maintain MSDS
• Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety policies and support Risk Management programs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Necessary Education and Experience

• Serving It Right Certification
• Food Safe Certification
• WHMIS Certification
• First Aid Certificate
• Previous experience in dining, hospitality, and/or full-service senior living is preferred
