Job summary

St. Michael's Health Group in Edmonton is seeking a temporary full-time Supportive Services Supervisor (Licensed Practical Nurse) to lead staff scheduling, supervision, and quality control in a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide LPN services, coordinate authorized personal care, and work with Home Care Nurses and Case Managers to ensure compassionate, person-centered care for residents in our Long-Term Care and supportive living environments.

Qualifications

• LPN certificate and CLHA registration in good standing.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Minimum two years' experience with elderly in supportive living preferred.
• Experience scheduling and supervising healthcare staff.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; ability to learn new programs.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrates leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and prioritize support services in collaboration with Home Care Nurse.
• Receives comments/information from staff and reports changes in resident conditions to Home Care Nurse/Clinical Compliance Lead/Manager.
• Supervise, train and evaluate Independent Living Assistants (HCAs).
• Assign daily tasks to ILAs, ensuring alignment with care plans.
• Oversee quality control in service delivery, including laundry and meal service.
• Manage ILA orientation and disciplinary actions.
• Provide LPN services as authorized, including medication administration.
• Liaises with Pharmacies regarding medication changes and concerns.
