Job summary

Discovery Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced HCA Instructor to teach Onsite Lab and Clinical Sites in the Prince George Region. This role offers a chance to mentor nursing students and shape future healthcare professionals.

The position is part-time with potential for future instructional opportunities. Start date: Nov 09, 2026. Rate ranges: LPN $34–$45/hr; RN $40–$60/hr based on experience. Travel to local sites within the region is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2,800 hours of nursing experience, including maternity, mental health, or acute care.
• Current full registration with the BCCNM as an LPN, RN, or RDPN – required.
• Previous instructor experience is an asset.
• Experience with Office 365 and SIS is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in clinical settings.
• Execute lesson plans using preset curriculum aligned with PTIRU compliance.
• Provide hands-on training and supervision in clinical environments.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
• Stay current with best practices in nursing education.
• Ability to travel to local sites within region.
