Discovery Community College is seeking a dedicated HCAInstructor to teach Onsite Online Theory, Onsite Lab and Clinical Sites in the Fraser-Fort George region. This part-time role offers potential for future instructional opportunities and professional growth.

Start date: Oct 13, 2026. Rate ranges: LPN $34–$45/hr; RN $40–$60/hr, depending on experience and level of care. Schedule includes Theory, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm with 2 hours weekly for student support.

Qualifications

• Minimum nursing experience 2,800 hours including maternity, mental health, or acute care.
• Current full registration with BCCNM as LPN/RN/RDPN is required.
• Instructor experience is an asset.
• Experience with Office 365 and SIS is an asset.

About the Role:

Discovery Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced HCAInstructor to teach Onsite Online Theory , Onsite Lab and Clinical Sites in Selected Region. This position offers an opportunity to mentor and shape the next generation of nursing professionals through engaging and comprehensive instruction.

This part time role and has the potential to lead to future instructional opportunities, advancing your career in education.

Start date: Oct 13, 2026
Rate Range: $34- $45 for LPN (based on years of experience and levels of care)
$40-$60 for RN (based on years of experience and levels of care)

Schedule for Theory: Monday to Friday (8:00am to 3:30pm Plus 2 hours per week Student Support hours) Current Instruction hours subject to change depended on class schedule

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction in clinical settings.
• Execute lesson plans using preset curriculum that aligns with PTIRU compliance (e_xtensive in-house curriculum orientation and training provided)_.
• Provide hands-on training and supervision in clinical environments.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
• Stay current with best practices and developments in nursing education.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2,800 hours of nursing experience , inclusive of either maternity or mental health or Acute Care.
• Current full registration with the BCCNM as an LPN, RN, or RDPN – required.
• Previous instructor experience is an asset.
• Experience with Office 365 and Student Information Systems (SIS) is an asset.
• Strong communication and mentorship skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
• Commitment to fostering a positive educational experience.
• Ability to travel to local sites withing region.
  Required Experience:
  In a Long-term Care facility in Canada within the last two years, or relevant experience.
