Job summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures. Qualifications

• Active practicing licensure with the CLPNM, or eligible for active licensure with the CLPNM
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training as delineated by Prairie Mountain Health
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and general IT
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider and Renewal
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Provider and Recertification
• Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS)
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in techniques and procedures
• Knowledge and competence of skills and concepts related to the position
• Communication skills
• Respect for confidentiality
• Ability to perform duties regularly
• Respect for a culturally diverse population
• Ability to work effectively with co-workers and interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Practice in accordance with the Licensed Practical Nurses Act of Manitoba, CLPNM Standards of Practice, and CLPNM Code of Ethics
• Obtain and maintain the relevant competencies for the position as offered by Prairie Mountain Health (PMH)
• Other duties as assigned by PMH
