Job summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures. The LPN will work within the scope of practice and adhere to professional ethics while delivering patient-centered care.

Applicants must maintain CLPNM licensure or eligibility, hold BCLS/ACLS/TNCC certifications, and demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills in a dynamic

Qualifications

  • Active practicing licensure with the CLPNM, or eligible for active licensure with the CLPNM
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training as delineated by Prairie Mountain Health
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and general IT
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider and Renewal
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Provider and Recertification
  • Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS)
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in techniques and procedures
  • Knowledge and competence of skills and concepts related to the position
  • Communication skills
  • Respect for confidentiality
  • Ability to perform duties regularly

Responsibilities

  • Practice in accordance with the Licensed Practical Nurses Act of Manitoba, CLPNM Standards of Practice, and CLPNM Code of Ethics
  • Obtain and maintain the relevant competencies for the position as offered by Prairie Mountain Health (PMH)

Position Summary

Consistent with the vision, mission and values of the Prairie Mountain Health sites, and affiliate sites, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents/clients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Licensed Practical Nurses recognize and fulfill their Professional responsibilities by practicing within the scope of practice of the Licensed Practical Nurses Act, the approved College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) Scope of Practice and Entry-Level Competencies, provincial and federal legislation and within the guidelines of professional ethics.
