Job summary

Northern Mat & Bridge LP in Western Canada is seeking an experienced Class 1 Lowbed Driver who safely hauls heavy equipment, matting, and bridge materials to customer sites. You will work with an organized operations team to keep loads moving.

The role requires 2+ years of Class 1 experience, a clean driver’s abstract, and a willingness to travel across AB, BC, SK, and MB. A safety‑first mindset, solid load securement skills, and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 license with a clean driver’s abstract.
• 2+ years of Class 1 experience (lowbed and/or Super B preferred).
• Solid understanding of load securement and safe hauling practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate lowbed, Super B, and tandem trailers to move heavy equipment and materials.
• Safely load, secure, and transport oversized and specialized loads.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is road-ready.
• Handle paperwork and logs (e-logs, BOLs, time tickets) accurately.
• Work closely with operators, dispatch, and site teams during loading/unloading.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Help maintain clean, well-kept trucks and trailers.
• Contribute to a safe, organized, and professional worksite.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating lowbed, Super B, and tandem trailers to move heavy equipment and materials

What You Bring
