Job summary

Northern Mat & Bridge LP is seeking an experienced Class 1 Lowbed Driver to haul heavy equipment, matting, and bridge materials across Western Canada. You’ll join a safety‑driven team that emphasizes organization and professional conduct on site.

You will operate lowbed and related trailers, conduct inspections, and maintain logs while traveling AB, BC, SK, and MB. A sign-on bonus program is available for experienced drivers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
• 2+ years of Class 1 experience (lowbed and/or Super B preferred).
• Solid understanding of load securement and safe hauling practices.
• Comfortable working in field and changing site conditions.
• Willingness to travel across AB, BC, SK, and MB.

Responsibilities

• Operate lowbed, Super B, and tandem trailers to move heavy equipment and materials.
• Safely load, secure, and transport oversized and specialized loads.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is road-ready.
• Handle paperwork and logs (e-logs, BOLs, time tickets) accurately.
• Work closely with operators, dispatch, and site teams during loading/unloading.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Help maintain clean, well-kept trucks and trailers.
• Contribute to a safe, organized, and professional worksite.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating lowbed, Super B, and tandem trailers to move heavy equipment and materials
• Safely loading, securing, and transporting oversized and specialized loads

What You Bring
