Job summary

Northern Mat & Bridge is seeking an experienced Class 1 Super B Driver to haul matting and bridge materials across Western Canada. You will join an operations team that prioritizes safety, organization, and reliability on the road.

The role is full-time, on-the-road, with travel across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. A strong focus on safe loading, securing loads, and completing accurate documentation is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
• 2+ years of Super B driving experience (preferred).
• Strong load securement and highway safety knowledge.
• Willingness to travel across AB, BC, SK, and MB.

Responsibilities

• Operate Super B trailer configurations to transport matting and related materials.
• Support occasional hauling using tandem or lowbed trailers as needed.
• Safely load, secure, and transport matting loads.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Manage documentation (e-logs, BOLs, time tickets).
• Work closely with dispatch, operators, and site teams during loading/unloading.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Keep trucks and trailers clean, maintained, road-ready.
• Contribute to a safe, organized, and professional worksite.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating Super B trailer configurations to transport matting and related materials
• Supporting occasional hauling using tandem or lowbed trailers as needed
• Safely loading, securing, and transporting matting loads
• Completing pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is safe and compliant
• Managing documentation accurately (e-logs, BOLs, time tickets)
• Working closely with dispatch, operators, and site teams during loading and unloading
• Participating in toolbox talks and safety meetings
• Keeping trucks and trailers clean, maintained, and road-ready
• Contributing to a safe, organized, and professional worksite

What You Bring

• Valid Class 1 licence with a clean driver’s abstract
• 2+ years of Super B driving experience (preferred)

• Comfortable working in field environments and changing site conditions
• Willingness to travel across AB, BC, SK, and MB

Bonus If You Have

• Experience hauling matting, construction materials, or bulk loads
• Experience in oilfield, construction, or remote work environments
• Familiarity with NMB products or operations
• Winch truck or additional trailer configuration experience
