Job summary

Guelph Hyundai, part of the AutoCanada dealership network, is seeking a Lot Attendant to keep new and used inventory organized, secure, and pristine for test drives. You will support the sales team and maintain showroom presentation, lot merchandising, and vehicle processing.

Responsibilities include transporting staff and vehicles, parking and moving cars, cleaning exteriors, and assisting with shop clean-up and deliveries as needed. A valid license and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Interest in automotive industry and knowledge about vehicles.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience cleaning with products and tools including power washers is an asset.
• Must be dependable with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Service and Sales Department duties.
• Daily organization and parking of vehicles for sale and service department.
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer.
• Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed.
• Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (e.g. snow removal).
• Identify any lot merchandising needs or issues to the appropriate manager.
• Placing signage in and on vehicles for advertising purposes.
• Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process.
• Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free, including showroom displays.
• Deliver dealer trades to neighboring stores and drive customers home as necessary.
