Job summary

AutoCanada is hiring an Automotive Service Lot Attendant in Pitt Meadows, BC, to transport customers and staff, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and organize vehicles for sale and service. You will help with write-ups, tagging, and parts pickup while ensuring showroom and lot standards are met.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles, with opportunities to grow within a national dealer network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Interest in automotive industry and knowledge about vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and tools (power washers) is a plus.
• Dependable with strong attention to detail and good prioritization.

Responsibilities

Your area of focus.

In this position, the Automotive Service LotAttendant will be responsible for transporting customers as needed, cleaningthe interior and exterior of vehicles owned by customers and those that will beplaced into inventory. Success in this role will require someone who has thephysical capabilities to effectively maneuver around, under, and inside thevehicle to ensure a thorough and satisfactory detail has been completed.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Service and Sales Department duties
• Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for saleand service department
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
• Inspect vehicles for stains,debrisand damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damageimmediately
• Assistwith service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
• Pick up parts from the Parts Department
• Assistwith shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
• Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e.snow removal)
• Identifyany lot merchandising needs or issues to theappropriate manager
• Placing signage in and on vehiclesfor advertising purposes
• Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process
• Responsible for the detailing of interior and exterior of customer vehicles
• Perform general car detailing activities, including, vacuuming, deodorizing, and washing
• Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free, including showroom displays
• Deliver dealer trades to neighboring stores and drive customers home as necessary

What arethe must-haves…

• Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
• Must be dependable, reliable,possessa strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $18.25 – $19.75 Hourly — No bonus. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
