Position Overview

The Lot Associate's primary responsibility is to load orders into customer vehicles and ensure the parking lot is safe and welcoming for customers. Customer service and GET behaviours are vital, as the Lot Associate is often the first and last associate to interact with a customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures Customer Satisfaction

Follow Home Depot’s GET Model of customer service including Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking customers.

• Maintain sufficient carts near the store entrance.
• Ask open-ended questions about customers’ projects to determine their needs and expertise.
• Approach customers to assist with loading products into vehicles or shopping carts.
• Plan the best method of loading and securing merchandise as per Safe Loading Training.
• Maintains Safety and Security

Ensure exits / loading areas are clear of obstructions; sweep and clean debris from loading areas.

• Follow all safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.
• Use appropriate safety procedures with all equipment.
• Effective communication

• Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items

• Exposure to various weather conditions during loading and unloading.
• Doors often open, causing drafts and temperature changes.
• High school diploma or equivalent
