Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking an Asset Protection Associate to help maintain a safe store environment for customers, associates, and vendors. You will conduct patrols, verify security features, and participate in investigations and emergency procedures to protect people and merchandise.

The role involves external apprehensions when required, clear reporting, and flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Minimum wage starts at CAD 19.35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 or older.
• Security Guard License required (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily patrols of the store to help ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Verifies that doors, showcases, and security features are functioning properly and takes action as required.
• Investigates incidents of shrink and communicates findings to Store Leadership; escalates to Market Loss Prevention Manager for internal investigations.
• Participates in store evacuation and emergency procedures during incidents such as fire or other emergencies.
• Carries out external apprehensions when required, in compliance with company policies and legal standards.
• Gathers and communicates information from multiple sources, clearly explaining issues to leadership and stakeholders.
• Completes additional responsibilities to support evolving Asset Protection priorities.
