Tasks

1. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
2. Load and unload goods
3. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
4. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
5. Pay and receive payments for goods
6. Perform brake adjustments
7. Perform emergency roadside repairs
8. Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle safety
9. Receive and relay information to central dispatch
10. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
11. Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
