Job description

Job Requirements and Responsibilities

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Tasks:

1. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
2. Load and unload goods.
3. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
4. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
5. Perform brake adjustments.
6. Perform emergency roadside repairs.
7. Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
8. Perform preventive maintenance.
9. Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
10. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
11. Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo.

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses:

• Driver's License (Class 1 or A).

Security and Safety:

• Driver's validity license check.
