Job summary

TipTop Transport in Regina, SK is seeking applications for the position of Long haul truck driver. The role is permanent, full-time, offering $32.50 CAD per hour with 40–60 hours weekly.

The successful candidate will drive as part of a two-person team, load/unload goods, inspect vehicles, perform pre-trip and post-trip checks, and ensure cargo safety. AZ/1A licenses with Endorsements are required.

Qualifications

• Fluent English language is required.
• High school graduation certificate required.
• AZ class license (Class 1/1F/A) with Air Brake Endorsement required.
• Experience in trucking is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods as required.
• Operate tractor-trailer equipment to transport goods.
• Inspect brakes, tires, lights, storage equipment and overall vehicle condition.
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel usage.
• Tarp and secure cargo and handle dangerous goods as needed.

• The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• The candidate must load and unload goods.
• The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks in order to transport goods and materials.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect the brakes, tires, lights, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.
• The candidate will be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• The candidate will be responsible for tarping and ensuring cargo safety and security.
• The candidate must handle and transport dangerous goods.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• The candidate must have an AZ class license, a Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Certification.
