Responsibilities

Tasks

• Load and unload goods
• Obtain special permits and documents required for international cargo transport
• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections; oversee all vehicle aspects
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to dispatch
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
• Tarp and secure cargo for safety and security
• Transport and handle dangerous goods
