Trans 99 Logistics is seeking a dedicated truck driver to operate and navigate routes across Ontario. The role emphasizes safe driving, vehicle upkeep, and accurate record-keeping of cargo and hours of service.

On-site work only; AZ license and Air Brakes Endorsement credentials are required or preferred. Experience is an asset for this function within a dynamic dispatch environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and emissions.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods.
• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all vehicle aspects.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
