Minimum Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Tasks

1. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
2. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
3. Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
4. Perform brake adjustments
5. Perform emergency roadside repairs
6. Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
7. Perform preventive maintenance
8. Receive and relay information to central dispatch
9. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
10. Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
