Job description

As a Foundations Drill Rig Operator with experience in industrial and infrastructure projects, you are skilled in driven piling procedures, making you an asset for this high-profile infrastructure project in Edmonton, AB. You prioritize safety and quality, and you take pride in your work each day.

Location of work:

Edmonton, Alberta

  • Drive-in and drive-out; Edmonton and surrounding area applicants will be considered due to location of the project.
  • Shift-based position working five days on and two days off, with 10-12 hours per day.
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Project scope completion: October 2025.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Previous experience operating Soilmec and Bauer drill rigs is considered an asset.
  • Fully understands all safety aspects of equipment operations on an infrastructure site.
  • You are a team player with a strong safety record, who takes pride in their work.
  • Successfully complete all necessary paperwork legibly and correctly.
  • Operate large, tracked drill rigs safely and productively, with the ability to perform minor mechanical repairs if required.
  • Conduct daily pre-use and post-use inspections of equipment.
  • Read and understand engineered drawing sets and apply best practices in the field.
  • Ability to problem-solve in the field with input from supervision.
Qualifications:
  • Experience working on large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience installing permanent secant piles and large diameter drilled shafts.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Hold CSTS 2020 and Ground Disturbance Level 2 certifications.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety on the worksite.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
