MAYANK TRANSPORT INC. is seeking a dedicated truck driver to operate as part of a two-person team across various locations in Canada. This on-site role involves loading, unloading, and ensuring cargo safety, with responsibilities including pre-trip inspections and cross-border travel.

Applicants should have a BC location basis, a Class 1/A license with Air Brakes endorsement, and a willingness to work extended trips. Training is provided for those new to the field.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation required.
• No experience required; training provided.
• Ability to travel cross-border and stay away for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license (Class 1 or A) and Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Experience with load securement and safety inspections is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Inspect vehicle and perform brake adjustments.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarp and secure cargo; transport dangerous goods.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.

RESPONSIBILITIES

TASKS

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
• Transport and handle dangerous goods
