Job summary

Road Kings Transport in Calgary, AB is seeking a Long haul truck driver to join a two-person team. The role is permanent, full-time and based at 17 Falbury Crescent NE, Calgary, AB.

You will inspect and maintain the vehicle, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and coordinate with dispatch. A High School diploma and a valid Class 1/A licence are required; English fluency is essential, and prior experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods.

• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Relay information to central dispatch and record cargo, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

• The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks in order to transport goods and materials.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must be able to perform emergency roadside repairs.
• The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.
• The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
• The candidate will be responsible for receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
• The candidate will be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.
• The candidate must hold a valid Class 1 or A driver’s licence.
