Job summary

Eassons Transportation Group is seeking a professional truck driver to operate refrigerated and tractor-trailer equipment at various locations in Canada. The role requires 1–2 years of experience, a Class 1/A license, and safety-focused dispatch coordination.

Expect on-site work with cross-border travel and overnight trips as needed. You will perform pre-trip and en-route inspections, manage cargo records, and coordinate with central dispatch while maintaining high standards of professionalism

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation required.
• Valid Class 1/A license is mandatory.
• Air Brake endorsement is preferred.
• Defensive driving training is an asset.
• Forklift certification helpful for loading tasks.
• WHMIS knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Professionalism in customer service.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
