Logistics Workflow Coordinator/ Forklift Operator

Position Overview

Ecolab is seeking a Logistics Wave Planner to join our team in Mississauga, ON. The Wave Planner will be responsible for planning shift work, coordinating shipments into wave groups, and collaborating with logistics staff to maintain warehouse flow. The role also includes supporting as a back-up Forklift Operator, handling order picking, packing, and logistics duties.

Key Responsibilities
Wave Planner Duties
  • Coordinate communication within your team and with internal contacts.
  • Manage logistics activities such as account management, inventory forecasting, and distribution planning.
  • Monitor quality, service, and cost metrics, analyzing data for improvements.
  • Conduct safety walks, report incidents, and promote safety culture.
  • Perform quality reporting, audits, and inventory accuracy tasks.
  • Support operational workflows, review upcoming work, and assign tasks to warehouse personnel.
  • Complete warehouse management system waves and update dashboards.
  • Communicate effectively with picking and replenishment teams to meet schedules.
Forklift Operator Duties
  • Pick full-case orders, stack onto pallets, and ensure proper staging.
  • Use equipment like pallet jacks and reach trucks to move pallets.
  • Verify order accuracy, quality, and labeling.
  • Coordinate with other departments and prepare shipping labels.
  • Load trailers and address quantity discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the warehouse.
Position Details
  • Main location: Mississauga (Tranmere Dr./Drew Rd).
  • Occasional work at Mississauga (Tomken Rd./Eglinton Ave.) as needed.
  • Residence in Greater Toronto Area required.
  • Shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm Mon-Thu, 2:00pm - 10:30pm Fri.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Experience in logistics or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access.
  • 2+ years experience with counter-balance and reach forklifts.
  • Ability to perform basic math and follow instructions.
  • No sponsorship available.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • SAP experience and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of TPM and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.
  • Experience in warehouse shipping/receiving.
